Overview: Owl worked directly with Renntech's engineers to develop this proprietary piggyback tuner, which offers significant gains in power and torque without sacrificing daily driver reliability. This maximizes the Sprinter’s ability to transport large cargo or tow large loads without degrading performance.

The RENNtech Power upgrade is contained in a CNC machined 6061 aluminum enclosure with pre-labeled wires and connectors. The RPM module comes with a bypass that can be installed in place of the module to turn the vehicle back to stock performance quickly (this does not mean the tuner is undetectable). The harness can be uninstalled to return the vehicle to stock. Through our 30+ years of ECU tuning experience, countless hours of in-house research, development and long-term testing ensure that our ECU upgrade offers the best in quality, performance and reliability.

Pedal Control: The Renntech tune adds actual HP and Torque, the Pedal Control makes the vehicle more responsive. Both work well in concert to offer the maximum performance upgrade for an AWD Sprinter.

CARB and EPA Certification: Unlike most tunes, Owl and Renntech have chosen to go through the lengthy and expensive process of getting our tuner CARB (California Air Resource Board) and EPA certified. This means the tune is legal for sale and use in all states. We are currently in this process and hope to have full approval soon. This has no impact on the quality of the tune but instead has to do with not negatively impacting emissions for a vehicle.

The tune may affect the warranty of specific aspects of your vehicle, including your engine and drivetrain. This is at the dealer's discretion.

If you are concerned, this piggyback tuner should be removed anytime you go in for service so that Mercedes can properly communicate with your vehicle for any software updates. Additionally, Mercedes may be able to detect the tune (even after removal). You are tuning at your own risk.
