Overview: Superior front-end protection is essential when traveling long distances in remote locations, and the AEV Premium Front Bumper was engineered with that mission in mind.
Built to work as hard as your Ram HD, every component of this bumper system is designed for durability and real-world performance. The 4mm stamped steel face, reinforced with 3/16-inch steel, provides exceptional strength while safely accommodating winches up to 16,500 lbs. for vehicle recovery. Massive ductile iron tow loops not only meet OE load requirements but also serve as wear plates, allowing the vehicle to slide over obstacles without damaging the bumper.
Lighting plays a critical role when traveling after dark or in challenging conditions. The AEV Premium Front Bumper is available with multiple lighting configurations to suit your needs. For maximum visibility, optional 6.7-inch AEV/Vision X driving lights are available in either:
- Tungsten Halogen (Euro Beam) – 1,800 lumens
- LED – 3,200 lumens with up to 2,500 feet of usable light
Additional options include OE-style fog light bezels that accept factory fog lights, or blank bezels for customers who may wish to add auxiliary lighting at a later date.
Because Ram HD trucks are built to tow, haul, and work in demanding environments, maintaining proper cooling performance is critical. On 2013–2018 Ram 2500 and 3500 models, AEV includes a redesigned intercooler shroud to ensure there is no loss of cooling efficiency after bumper installation.
The Premium Front Bumper is also compatible with factory front ParkSense systems. Six pre-drilled sensor locations allow for seamless integration of OE sensors, creating a true plug-and-play installation. For vehicles not equipped with ParkSense, included close out plugs provide a clean, finished appearance.
