The Sprinteos Nickelmaster QuarterVan — Myth or Reality?

What started out as an April fools prank post actually turned into a hot topic worth debating!
Would you rock one??

The idea started when our marketing department asked our MLO employees for ideas to create an April Fools prank to post on our social channels, one of the suggestions was splicing a truck bed to the back of a Sprinter van, the idea immediately took off.

When we created this fictitious mash-up, it was really about finding the right images to blend together, but we also wanted to make it B.A. With the Sprinter Van being a massively popular travel van platform with a ton of aftermarket support, and the new Ineos Grenadier exploding on the overland scene as the next best contender in the off-road market, paired with the excitement of the Ineos Quartermaster Truck becoming more prevalent in the wild, we figured it would be the perfect blend.

Without using AI, the photoshopping started and after a couple edits, the result was the front end of a Story Teller model Sprinter Van (really amazing vans to begin with) mated to the truck bed of the new Ineos Quartermaster. The "Sprinteos Nickelmaster QuarterVan" was born (lol). *Disclaimer: The image used in the footer of this blog post was an AI rendering of our photoshopped concept.

The inspiration came from the new collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks and Hellgeth Engineering's one-off Unimog Concept (#hearteyesemoji), celebrating 80 years of the Unimog - a completely purpose built, utilitarian BEAST. The cab space of a cross-country tractor trailer with a pick-up bed on the back sitting on massive tires and portal axles. Beauty had met the Beast and things happened.

After creating this "Sprinteos" Franken-build concept, some of us really started to love it and couldn't stop looking at it. It was weird and unusual, but at the same time really cool! It would provide you with enough interior space for a comfy expedition travel cruiser, but with the option to throw a bunch of gear in the pick-up bed on the back, hell, even bring your ATV with you! Or.. hear me out, put a pop-up camper on the back or haul your favorite band! The possibilities are seemingly endless for this Wing-Ding-Dilly (nod to children's book author Bill Peet) of a vehicle concept.

All jokes aside, we were very surprised at the attention it was getting on our social channels. Some fans commenting things like: "I think I want one", "I'd totally rock one of these", "Hell yeah", "Damnit, I'm in", "I know this is an April Fools post, but I would totally want one", "Want it - build it", "Shut up and take my money"... and more!

So... the debate... would you rock one? Would you like to see a production version of this monstrosity? Will Mercedes and Ineos ever combine forces to offer this in real life? What would you haul in the back?
