For overlanding enthusiasts looking to learn 4x4 skills as well as multiple recovery techniques, OEX's two-day course is a must. Day one will be spent learning terrain negotiation including: wheel placement, up and down hill terrain negotiation, side slopes, ditches, moguls, moderate rock, and comprehensive spotting exercises. Of course, vehicle specific functionality will be covered as well.
Your second day with OEX will cover the use of different recovery methods, starting with the fundamentals and progressing to real world scenarios. Kinetic Rope, Winch, and Hi Lift Jack will all be taught in a linear fashion. This will ensure your safety and practicality when the going gets rough. The terrain encountered on day two will be more difficult and will require the use of recovery methods learned in the morning session.
Individual and Couples Entry entry options include 2 days of OEX 4x4 training and 2 nights lodging in SMAR's 6,000 sqft log cabin with wrap-around decks, wood-burning stoves, and delicious catered meals throughout the weekend. Sunday stay-over available free of charge for attendees coming from far distances. Attendees must provide their own vehicles. We will email you with full event packet and waivers upon entry.
